NIR analysis is very quick and typically no sample preparation is needed. However, the accuracy of this technique is lower than a full laboratory analysis of your sample. Our machine, like every other NIR scanner, can't identify black plastics. Some very thin (< 10 µm) films can also cause issues although most films can be easily identified.
You will need an electric drill and suitable drill bits (3 mm and 10 mm) to make suitable openings into your furniture for mounting. If you wish to mount it on a wooden bench, you will also need to make a cutout using an (electric) hacksaw. All required fasteners as well as a screwdriver are included with the device.
Please note that no furniture (such as a bench) is included - this listing and price is for a bench-mountable instrument, not a full sorting station. We're able to provide these - please do get in touch!
