NIR analysis is very quick and typically no sample preparation is needed. However, the accuracy of this technique is lower than a full laboratory analysis of your sample. Our machine, like every other NIR scanner, can't identify black plastics. Some very thin (< 10 µm) films can also cause issues although most films can be easily identified.

A white reflecting target is supplied with the device. This target must be used to obtain measurements with transparent samples, by putting the target behind the sample.
