Updating the instrument

If your spectrometer screen shows "update device" it means that an update is available for your device. The device checks for updates on each start but it must be connected to Wi-Fi to find out than an update is available. You can update your device by using the controls on the instrument itself or through our app.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you do not unplug your spectrometer while running an update and that the update is not interrupted!

Updating your spectrometer using the instrument

Hold the control button found at the back of the instrument for 5 seconds. This will display the device menu which can be navigated by pressing and releasing the control button.

 

When you get to the "Update device" option, hold the control button for 5 seconds. This will trigger your instrument to start updating.

Once the update is finished, your device will automatically restart and will be ready to use!

Connect your instrument using our app. Press "Update device firmware" to trigger the update.
